“We are systematically transferring carriers to pay for transport work. And the cost of services includes plans to update the rolling stock. According to this plan, within three years it is planned to purchase 400 buses for Samara. The carrier will pay for them,” said Sergei Markin.
The transfer to a new system of payments to carriers, according to officials, will improve the operation of public transport. Companies will be paid for flights performed, not for passengers carried. Carriers will be fined for violating the terms of contracts.
Since this year, more than 10 bus routes have been operating under this scheme.
