A deputy (United Russia party) commented on the report of the mayor of the city, Lada Mokrousova, for 2023:
“The report reflects the main indicators of the socio-economic development of Saratov. Compared to the previous period, the industrial production index and investment volume increased. This in turn helps to increase tax revenues to the city budget and provide jobs.
Large-scale work was carried out in the areas of housing, communal services and road transport, including much attention in 2023 paid to the territories of the Gagarin administrative district.
As for the social sphere, among the positive aspects, I would like to note that it was possible to increase the income of public sector workers, the number of citizens attending cultural and sports institutions of additional education, significantly reduce the proportion of schoolchildren studying in the second shift, and provide additional support measures, including, SVO participants and their families. This suggests that the work of the executive body and the head is centered on the interests of people and their quality of life.
It is impossible to ensure this quality without developing the economy, infrastructure, education and other areas. It is worth noting that many projects in the municipality are being implemented based on the opinions of Saratov residents. We see how the administration listens to the initiatives of citizens.
At the same time, there are still a number of unresolved issues that the administration and the mayor will work on together with deputies of the City Duma. We are always ready to help. Our common task is to fulfill the orders of Saratov residents. And the main thing that I saw today in the report of the head of the city is a balanced approach to solving problems, a deep understanding of the strategy for the further development of Saratov and a willingness to work closely with the deputy corps.”
