From May 20 to August 31, when daytime temperatures are above 32 degrees, restrictions will be introduced on the passage of heavy trucks on regional and intermunicipal roads in the Volgograd region. Travel will be allowed after 22.00 and until 10.00 the next day. This is a traditional measure introduced by the regional administration in the summer to maintain road density.
The resolution obliges drivers of heavy vehicles, as well as managers of transport companies, to adjust truck schedules in the Volgograd region from the end of May to the beginning of September.
Earlier, from April 9 to May 26, a restriction for freight vehicles was introduced at the bridge complex of the Volzhskaya HPP. Trucks were allowed to cross the bridge over the Volga from 22.00 to 07.00. The restrictions do not apply to public and passenger vehicles.
