The Leninsky District Court sentenced two local residents, 22 and 25 years old. As established in the court hearing, the defendants decided to take possession of the money of foreign students studying at Kursk University.
To do this, the accomplices met with young people, who were informed that they allegedly had information about their distribution of drugs. For their silence they demanded 20 thousand rubles or the car in which the students arrived. Since they did not have the required amount, and the car was rented, the defendants agreed to purchase alcohol and food.
The young men threatened to use firearms and punched their victims in the head and torso.
The victims telephoned friends to find money. They had a conversation in a foreign language and were able to ask for help.
The attackers were detained by police officers. The court sentenced each of them to 3 years in a general regime correctional colony.
