In Sevastopol, they want to “pluck” a ship repair company because of boats

--

A lawsuit may begin in Sevastopol due to the protracted repair of passenger boats. Information about this is contained in the ruling of the City Arbitration Court, which was reviewed by a ForPost correspondent.

The reason for the proceedings may be a contract for the repair of five boats of the State Unitary Enterprise Sevelektroavtotrans im. Krupoderov,” or rather, violation of deadlines for its execution and the subsequent financial consequences.

City motor ships “Molodezhny”, “Grigory Ovchinnikov”, “Persey”, “Nord” and “Pluto” were docked for renovation in the fall of 2022. The work, costing more than 125 million rubles, was supposed to be completed by the beginning of 2023, but the boats have not reached the line since then.

For violation of the established repair deadlines, the State Unitary Enterprise Sevelektroavtotrans demanded that the contractors recover more than 30 million rubles (penalty for the period from January 10, 2023 to April 4, 2024), and then set a payment for each day of delay in the execution of the contract until the official delivery of the vessels.

In addition, the contractor’s company, A-Shipping Ship Repair Enterprise LLC, is being asked to recover more than 135 million rubles as “losses of lost profits.”

The Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of Sevastopol, where ForPost journalists contacted for comment, confirmed the circumstances of the case. At the same time, they noted that the repair of the boats is currently ongoing and the progress of this work is under the control of the customer.

So far, the state-owned enterprise’s claim, addressed to the Astrakhan company A-Shipping, has been left by the court without progress (the plaintiffs have not attached documents that would confirm the notification of the second party about the claims). If the State Unitary Enterprise Sevelektroavtotrans eliminates procedural violations by May 17, the Arbitration Court of Sevastopol will be able to officially begin considering the case.

Let us remind you that this is the second major trial initiated by a transport company in Sevastopol recently. In March of this year, Sevelektroavtotrans named after. Krupoderov” demanded more than 300 million rubles from the State Transport Leasing Company.

The reason for such a lawsuit was violation of the terms of the contract for the supply of new passenger boats, which the city has been waiting for for more than 5 years.
