Irkutsk region will join All-Russian subbotnik, which will be held on April 27 at the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Construction in the regions of the country. The event is traditionally held within the framework of the federal project “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”.

In the Angara region, residents of the cities of Sayansk, Bratsk, Shelekhov, Usolye-Sibirskoye, Vikhorevka, Nizhneudinsk, Cheremkhovo, Ust-Kut, Taishet, the workers’ village of Markova, the village of Khomutovo and other settlements will come out to clean up the territories. In a number of municipalities, cleanup days have been postponed to a later date due to weather conditions.

– Cleanup work is an opportunity to make a personal contribution to creating comfortable conditions for living and recreation in your locality, tidying up public areas and courtyards, and giving comfort to the place in which you live. The All-Russian voting for improvement projects, which is currently taking place on the website za.gorodsreda.ru, also contributes to the solution of these same problems. By taking part in the vote, every resident who has reached the age of 14 can choose which space in their locality should be landscaped. As part of the cleanup, volunteers will work in the territories to tell about the objects submitted for voting and help those who have difficulties using the Internet to vote, noted the governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev.

Let us recall that on April 1, 2024, the head of the region signed a decree on holding a month of sanitary cleaning and improvement of the territories of populated areas of the Irkutsk region. According to the document, activities for cleaning areas, repairing public amenities, bringing building facades, children’s playgrounds and sports grounds, and small architectural forms into proper shape must be carried out in the region from April 1 to May 30.

Cleanup work has already taken place in the cities of Irkutsk and Tulun, and the Angarsk urban district. Representatives of administrations, labor collectives and simply concerned residents cleaned the shorelines of rivers, squares, parks, courtyards, playgrounds, forests and green areas in neighborhoods, areas near kindergartens, schools, higher educational institutions and secondary vocational education organizations.
