In Saratov, a 39-year-old prisoner from Mordovia was convicted of causing minor harm to human health. This case was reported today, April 26, by the regional prosecutor’s office.

The court found that on the evening of October 2, 2022, the man was in the prison hospital where he was undergoing treatment. He had an argument with another prisoner. The convict then went to the eating room to get a knife. On the way, he met another prisoner who saw a knife in his hand, tried to stop the attacker and as a result was wounded in the shoulder blade.

The defendant repented and admitted his guilt. He was sentenced to a total of five years and two months of imprisonment in a special regime colony.
