Fraudsters convinced a pensioner from Tula to sell her apartment to cancel the loan

In one day, seven Tula residents lost 9 million 81 thousand 97 rubles due to scammers. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Tula region.

A 46-year-old Tula resident wanted to buy a refrigerator and transferred 25 thousand rubles to the scammers. A 54-year-old woman from Novomoskovsk tried to buy tickets, but lost 242 thousand 900 rubles.

A 72-year-old pensioner from Chernya is a victim of the “Your relative got into an accident” scheme. He handed over 375 thousand rubles personally to the scammers’ courier. A 59-year-old Tula woman wanted to have additional income on the Internet, but lost 117 thousand 197 rubles.

The 78-year-old pensioner received a call from well-known people and accused him of committing illegal financial schemes. To refute these actions, he needed to provide all the money he had to undergo the “examination” procedure. So, the man lost 2 million rubles.

A 70-year-old pensioner from Tula was “hooked” by scammers for three months. She allegedly received calls from representatives of the Central Bank of Russia and law enforcement agencies. They informed the woman about attempts by unknown persons to cash out her accounts. To prevent loans from being issued in her name, she needed to take out loans from a bank and then transfer them to a “safe account.” The scammers also persuaded the woman to sell her apartment. Allegedly, this was supposed to help cancel the application for a loan secured by an apartment. The Tula company sent the funds received from the sale of housing again to a “special account.” So she lost more than 6 million rubles.

In the same way, a 78-year-old pensioner from Tula also lost her home. She transferred 8 million 615 thousand rubles received from the sale of the apartment to the scammers, as well as 705 thousand rubles taken on credit.
