In Astrakhan, the chief traffic inspector promised to help his colleagues avoid inspection for half a million rubles

--

In Rostov-on-Don, the Astrakhan chief inspector of road supervision will be tried for fraud. The Investigative Committee reports this.

The man learned in August that law enforcement agencies had requested documents about the administrative protocols drawn up. He informed his colleagues about this and promised that he could help avoid inspection for a fee. Colleagues agreed and gave him half a million rubles.

The man used the money in his own way, but did not plan to fulfill the promise, not having the opportunity to do so.

After his arrest, the inspector returned half a million to his colleagues, but this will not save him from criminal prosecution. The regional prosecutor’s office approved an indictment against the former inspector under the article “large-scale fraud.”

The criminal case will be considered in the Rostov court.
