At the moment, repairs are being carried out on one half of the engineering structure.

The repair of the bridge over the Shogrash River at Mozhaisky Street is being carried out by the Eurostroy company. The cost of the work is 133 million rubles, construction must be completed before November next year. At this stage, the installation of slabs is underway, and soon workers will begin waterproofing and laying asphalt.

“At the first stage of the work, the networks were completely removed, followed by the dismantling of the bridge, then all the piles were driven in on both sides, and we also installed pouring beams and poured a leveling layer. The cantilever section is currently being installed. All that remains is to do the waterproofing. On June 4 we plan to move to the left side of the bridge. Overall, the bridge is 45% complete. We plan to complete the work by November 20“- said contractor Gabibulla Aligadzhi.

From March 19 until June 30, 2024, passage for cars on both halves of the bridge is closed, with the exception of public transport. This is necessary in order to reduce the load on the bridge structure, since intense traffic flow is now concentrated on one half of the structure. By the end of May, workers plan to pour asphalt and start traffic on the right side of the bridge by the beginning of June.

“The bridge repairs are progressing with a slight delay. Bridge builders promised to catch up with the schedule. It is planned to complete the work by November this year, but traffic on both lanes is planned to start in October this year. There will also be sidewalks three meters wide and all the necessary bank protection. So far I don’t see any risks in implementing the project, but we will continue to visit and monitor how the work is being carried out“, – said the acting Mayor of the City of Vologda Andrey Nakroshaev.
