A solemn meeting for Victory Day took place in Moscow; it was organized by the Moscow office of the Federal Tax Service (UFTS) of Russia. The event took place in the Hall of Fame of the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill.

“There are many glorious milestones and memorable dates in our country, and, perhaps, only Victory Day changes the soul so much. This day is dear to each of us, because in Russia there is no family that was not affected by the Great Patriotic War. The war claimed many lives; here, on Poklonnaya Hill, the undying pain of these losses is piercingly felt. We remember those who fell in battle, were tortured in captivity, burned in the ovens of concentration camps, who died from hunger, disease and the hardships of military life. Eternal memory to them,” Marina Viktorovna Tretyakova, head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Moscow, addressed those present.

In her opinion, those who crushed Nazism set an example of heroism for all times. “This is a generation of winners, and we will always look up to them. Our heroic ancestors proved that there is nothing stronger, more powerful and reliable than our unity. There is nothing in the world stronger than our love for the Motherland. These are not just lofty words, they became the testament of our ancestors for our soldiers, participants in the special military operation (SVO),” said M.V. Tretyakov.

She also addressed the military personnel participating in the SVO. “You left your peaceful professions and went to the front to defend our quiet life. You are doing what our grandfathers and great-grandfathers once did. For them, the highest value has always been peace in their country, on their land, in their homes and families. <…> We love you very much, we will definitely help you and your loved ones. You are doing a great job, and when you return, we will work together for the good of our country, for the good of our beloved Moscow,” noted M.V. Tretyakov.

The meeting was attended by: Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration for Public Projects, Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian Public and State Organization “Russian Military Historical Society” Nikolai Pavlovich Ovsienko, Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Yulia Vyacheslavovna Shepeleva, Head of the Department for the Development of Human Resources and Service Culture of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Veronika Sergeevna Prishchepa, Head of the Personnel Department of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Valery Adamovich Sakharuk, Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Christian Mercy Charitable Foundation Oleg Vasilyevich Shabunevich, Head of the Department of Military-Political Work of the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after Academician Burdenko Vladimir Borisovich Tripolsky, Serviceman of the Akhmat Special Forces Sergey Vladimirovich Mikhailov , serviceman of the 2nd Guards Taman Motorized Rifle Division Yuri Sergeevich Lavrenov, serviceman of the 104th Airborne Assault Division Dmitry Pavlovich Koshelev.

According to tradition, the participants honored the memory of those who fell for their homeland with a minute of silence. Then there was a flower-laying ceremony by the honor guard company of the Moscow Kremlin, guests, as well as employees of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Moscow and Moscow inspections.

Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Yulia Vyacheslavovna Shepeleva spoke about the importance of honoring and remembering the feat of grandfathers and great-grandfathers who fought for the Victory: “I had both grandfathers and great-grandfathers in the war. It is very important that we remember the feat of our people during the Great Patriotic War. In 2020 we celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Victory! Two years later, a special military operation began. Today, members of the SVO are present here. Thank you! Each of us either has relatives or friends at the front.”

“We have quite a few employees who participate in the SVO. And our support is important for each of the military personnel today. I know that employees of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Moscow are actively helping the front. The camouflage nets they weave save our guys at the front,” shared Yu.V. Shepeleva.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the department of military-political work of the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after Academician N.N. Burdenko, reserve colonel Vladimir Pavlovich Tripolsky: “Our hospital has been maintaining its combat watch for 318 years. During the Great Patriotic War, 74 thousand Soviet citizens were treated within its walls. And from the first days of SVO honey. the special forces detachment is providing assistance to our soldiers.”

Soldiers from different parts of Russia are undergoing treatment at the hospital. They really appreciate it when people practically unknown to them come to visit them, cheer them up, and express words of gratitude. Among these volunteers are many employees of the Moscow Federal Tax Service.

“Today, guys, young guys, the color of our nation, the color of our people, are fighting at the front, but it has always been like this, it’s been like this from time immemorial. Alexander, Prince Alexander, who became Nevsky, he was not yet 19 years old when he defeated the Swedes, on Lake Peipsi he was 20, and his younger brother Prince Andrei was 14. This is what we have, this is our genetic code “, Nikolai Pavlovich Ovsienko, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Public Projects, Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian Public and State Organization “Russian Military Historical Society” addressed the audience.

The guys themselves, participants in the special operation, spoke about the importance of support. “Kilometers of camouflage networks woven by you saved hundreds of lives,” noted Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhailov, a soldier of the Akhmat special forces unit.

“Equipment, equipment, hygiene items, children’s drawings, postcards are invaluable help at the front,” says Dmitry Pavlovich Koshelev, a serviceman of the 104th Airborne Division.

The meeting ended with a group photo of guests and participants on the central staircase of the Victory Museum.
