Immediately attracted the attention of the townspeople. Today the “Trade Union Bus” transported passengers along the “101” route absolutely free of charge. On the eve of May Day, the annual event was organized by the regional Federation of Trade Union Organizations. Our film crew also rode along with the Kostroma residents on the festive bus.
Long before the Trade Union Bus departed for its first voyage, Kostroma residents began to gather at the final stop. The vehicles were decorated with balloons outside and inside. Volunteers created a festive mood for passengers along the way. Instead of tickets, they distributed May Day flags to the townspeople.

Bella Grimacheva: “More shares like this. In my 20 years of living here, this was the first time I came across such an action. Beautiful, amazing, of course.”
All day long the “Trade Union Bus” transported Kostroma residents for free. Not only the passengers, but also the driver were happy about this.
Andrey Ermolin, bus driver: “Today it’s especially nice to travel and transport people for free. Everyone is driving, looking around, looking, rejoicing, waving their hands.”
The regional Federation holds the “Trade Union Bus” campaign annually on the eve of May 1. This year, Kostroma residents will celebrate Workers’ Solidarity Day with a festive concert.
Alexey Shadrichev, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Union Organizations of the Kostroma Region: “We, the trade unions, try in every possible way to remind about trade unions on this day and before this holiday. So that people know what we do. What benefit and what good deeds do we do. I want to take this opportunity and invite the people of Kostroma to Peace Square on May 1st. At 12.00 there will be a festive concert dedicated to the Spring and Labor Day.”
