More than 70 thousand children will rest in summer camps in the Tver region. On April 23, at a meeting of the Government of the Tver Region, the upcoming health campaign 2024 was discussed.
The head of the volunteer movement “Mother Tver”, mother of many children, Marina Veselova, comments on the topic:
“Our region’s preparations for organizing children’s summer holidays are in full swing. The number of organizations that will provide it has increased significantly. There are more guys who want and can relax. It’s great that labor camps are appearing, where children can gain professional skills and knowledge that will be useful when choosing a future profession. Special attention and support in organizing summer holidays is provided to children from families of SVO participants, with special needs, orphans and from large families. This is especially important and valuable; such children need special care and also deserve to spend a bright and unforgettable summer. It is important that children are organized in the summer and not on their own, not knowing what to do. It is up to us, adults, to ensure that every child’s summer is rich, varied and unforgettable. Our region is preparing children’s summer holidays in advance: buildings are being repaired, premises are equipped with everything necessary for a full life in the camps. Therefore, this summer will definitely be unforgettable for Tver children and guests of the region. Our family is also already planning a long vacation. The two older children will make 2 trips with accommodation in tents in the Maksatikha area in June and July. The participation of public organizations in children’s recreation is also important. For those who are unable to apply for the camp on time, we help and organize various trips with a group of children. Our project “Joyful Travels” interested representatives of large families from Kaluga. So we created a joint project “Immense Russia” and, with the support of the administration of our regions, we travel together. Now other neighboring regions are joining us, and we plan to make several joint trips in the summer. Such a project is especially relevant when the child has almost the entire vacation planned, and you need to keep him busy for a week. Summer holidays are a task for each of us, and not just for the state. With joint efforts and ideas, we will make children’s lives even more exciting and interesting. In Tver, representatives of public organizations take an active part in organizing children’s summer holidays. Some work with entire families: they go out into nature for several days with tents, and hold many joint family events. Others work with special needs children and organize summer holidays taking into account their abilities and desires, combining them with medical procedures with the support of professional doctors. This proves that there are many caring people in our region. By the way, we even organized a camp “For Adults” in the Tver region. Parents accompany their children to their shift and also go to their camp for their shift. The same events are held there as for children, only for parents. Thus, you can briefly remember your childhood: getting up to the sound of the horn, joint exercises, rulers, competitions and even naps, songs around the fire, joint trips to the dining room and much more.
“The number of camps in which children can not only have an interesting holiday, but also spend their holidays usefully and gain work skills is growing significantly. It is necessary to maintain these trends,” said Governor Igor Rudenya.
