On Friday, April 26, the head of the Bryansk city administration, Alexander Makarov, visited the underground passage on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street near the park named after the 50th anniversary of the Komsomol. There are a lot of deficiencies at the site, the installation of stairs and flooring continues, construction waste needs to be removed.
The contractor undertook to complete the overhaul of the crossing by May 9. Alexander Makarov recalled this, noting that almost the entire city is watching the progress of the work. “Will you have time? I am against you rushing at the expense of quality. Look for a solution on how to do your job well and still meet deadlines,” noted Alexander Makarov.
He was assured that additional workers would be deployed to the site. Indeed, all work will be completed by Victory Day. All construction waste is scheduled to be removed on Saturday and Sunday. Then city services will begin landscaping the area adjacent to the crossing.
The head of the city administration, Alexander Makarov, was shown how workers were finishing the installation of the decorative facade; 15 video cameras had been installed, with three more to be installed. With their help they plan to protect the crossing from vandals.
Over the three entrances, canopies have already been installed, made of a material more durable than the “cellular” polycarbonate at the crossing near the bus station. Its solid and cast sheets can withstand hail.
By the way, during the renovation, adjustments were made to the project: the ceiling was painted as originally planned, and decorative panels with built-in modern lamps were installed on it. There will be lampshades not only in the underground part of the structure, but also on the canopies of the entrances above the stairs. For the convenience of pedestrians, railings are installed on the side.
The lifts have arrived at the construction site. Paving slabs have been laid in the tunnel under Stanke Dimitrov Avenue and Krasnoarmeyskaya Street.
