“Why such devastation?” City guests are shocked by the state of the tiles and benches in the center of Voronezh

Photos of swollen and bent benches located at the entrance to the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theater appeared on social networks. Eyewitnesses were also outraged by the condition of the tiles in the very center of the city.

“What kind of materials should all this be made of so that in the spring the benches will literally shake, so that all the tiles will break off and fall off?” – people who came to see the city write on social networks.

Correspondent “MY!” contacted the authorities for comment. We were informed that the contract with the contractor who was involved in landscaping the area near the Opera and Ballet Theater was concluded in 2019.

In 2023, the territory of the park was transferred to the theater. The management of the theater is responsible for maintaining the territory in proper condition, but the elimination of defects that arose during operation is a warranty obligation of the contractor.

The warranty period for the work is five years. Theater employees have repeatedly contacted the customer – the city’s construction policy department – and asked to eliminate the defects that had arisen.

The contractor was sent an order to eliminate the defects.
