A distribution center of the X5 Group company opened in the Samara region

Governor Dmitry Azarov took part in the opening ceremony. The agreement on the construction of the complex was signed within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June last year.

The construction of the facility made it possible to attract more than 3.5 billion rubles of investment and in the future will create over 1,300 new jobs for residents of the region. Today, 550 people are already employed here. For an investor, this facility is the second most important in the country after the logo center in Moscow. According to experts, the distribution center will become a collection point for products from local manufacturers, will reduce their costs for delivering goods, and also expand the geography and volume of deliveries to stores.

“The opening of this complex confirms the fact that large-scale, modern projects can be launched at the sites of industrial and logistics parks in the shortest possible time. The region’s team is doing everything to ensure that investors choose the Samara region, trust the region and work in comfortable conditions,” emphasized Dmitry Bogdanov, Minister of Economic Development and Investment of the Samara Region.

Of great importance for investors is the favorable geographical location of the Samara region, the presence of large transport interchanges, and convenient access to major transport routes. X5 Group’s choice of the Samara region as a place to implement this project is also due to the fact that the region has created comfortable conditions for investors and business development, a number of investment sites have been built where residents are provided with support measures. In particular, the Samara Region Investment Promotion Agency (NO API) has been created in the province, whose specialists, in a “one-stop shop” mode, accompany entrepreneurs at every stage of the implementation of investment projects.

— There are only a few facilities like this distribution center across the country. I would like to thank the Ministry of Economic Development – we were given enormous support, we quickly completed all the necessary documents to start construction,” said Igor Perlin, founder of SamaraTransAvto 2000 LLC, one of the investors and participants in the construction of the facility. Stanislav Sheinsky, executive director of the South territory of the Pyaterochka retail chain, also noted the assistance provided by the region in the construction of the center.

Currently, industrial parks “Preobrazhenka”, “Chapayevsk”, logistics parks “Preobrazhenka 2”, “Novosemeikino” operate in the Samara region, as well as an industrial park in the SEZ “Tolyatti”, created on the initiative and with the direct participation of the government of the Samara region. Work is underway on a project to create a new industrial park “Samara” in the Krasnoglinsky district of the regional center.
