Kaluga House of Music (Kirova, 6)
On April 27 at 18:00 the program “Balls and Evenings” will take place.
Viewers are again invited to take an excursion into the past, get acquainted with the history and features of ballroom culture and, of course, discover Russian balls. The program is dedicated to dance music. A variety of dances from minuet to waltz and foxtrot will be presented by the Ancient Music Ensemble under the direction of Sergei Kuznetsov. Teachers and students of the ancient dance school will add a touch of interactivity.
Kaluga Regional Philharmonic (Lenina, 60)
On April 26 at 19:00 a musical and literary evening “Poets of the Silver Age” will take place.
The poet’s creativity and life are inextricably linked with each other. The writer’s path results in poetic form. Who is the poet and what force drives him? These questions will be answered in the diaries, letters and poems of A. Blok, S. Yesenin, M. Tsvetaeva, K. Balmont and A. Akhmatova. Romances will also be performed for the audience.
On April 27 at 11:00 there will be a concert for children “Fairy Tale Trouble”.
The main character Masha is sometimes naughty, the performance will tell what this leads to. The main idea of the fairy tale is that good deeds work wonders. The performance also teaches you to admit your mistakes, and also that love, support and self-confidence lead to the fulfillment of your most cherished desires.
On April 28 at 11:00 and 14:00 there will also be a “Fairytale Trouble”
On April 28 at 19:00 the VII International Choreographic Festival-Competition “Slavic Crane” will take place.
Dance groups will show what they have achieved in folk art. Dancers from different regions of Russia, near and far abroad countries participate in the competition. Participants will demonstrate choreography of different styles and directions.
On May 2 at 16:00 the concert “All Stravinsky” will be broadcast.
The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia named after E. F. Svetlanov will play for the audience. In the program: “Song of the Nightingale” – symphonic poem (1917), “The tale of the runaway soldier and the devil, read, played and danced“(libretto by Charles Ferdinand Ramu, translation by Mikhail Savchenko, 1918), “Song of the Volga barge haulers”, an arrangement of the Russian folk song “Hey, let’s whoop” for wind and percussion instruments (1917), as well as Ragtime for 11 instruments (1918).
On May 2 at 19:00 the opera “Theater Director” will take place.

On April 26 at 18:30 the play “Woe from Wit” will take place.
The young and ardent landowner Chatsky returns to Russia after long wanderings. He visits the daughter of a wealthy official, Sophia, but during the separation she has already lost interest in the man. The girl spends time in the company of her father’s secretary, Molchalin. Chatsky understands that he absolutely does not like the morals of aristocratic society, their respect for rank. Therefore, he begins to condemn them with might and main.
On April 27 at 12:00 there will be a performance for children “Animal Poems”.
The production was created based on the poems of the Russian poet of the “Silver Age” Sasha Cherny. He loved animals and children, so he gladly dedicated his lines to dogs, cats and even crocodiles. During the performance, the artists will not only read and sing poems, but will also organize a colorful carnival.
On April 27 at 18:30 there will be a performance based on the novel “12 Chairs” by Ilf and Petrov.
Adventurer and swindler Ostap Bender, together with former aristocrat Ippolit Vorobyaninov, are searching for family jewelry, which is hidden in one of 12 chairs. But they are not the only ones looking for treasure. At the same time, the search is being conducted by a priest, who was told about the riches in confession.
On April 28 at 18:30 the play “The Golden Calf” will take place.
“Worship the golden calf“- means to worship money, a kind of cult of greed. The main character Ostap Bender also loves money, and he also really wants to escape to Rio de Janeiro. And for the sake of his dream, he again goes on various adventures.
On April 30 at 18:30 the play “MAMAMYLARAMU” will take place.

On May 2 at 18:30 the play “Intimate Comedy” will take place.
