“Victory Dictation” is an international historical test on the events of the Great Patriotic War. For the sixth year now, it has been held by the United Russia party throughout the country and beyond.

Today, April 26, dictation united almost two million people around the world. Participants from Russia and 58 countries of different ages and professions tested historical and cultural knowledge.

In the Lipetsk region, about 10 thousand people wrote a dictation at 230 sites. Absolutely all districts joined the action. Testing took place in schools and iconic places associated with the history of the Great Patriotic War and the heroism of our fellow countrymen. Thus, in the Terbunsky district, participants wrote the “Victory Dictation” on Heroes Square, in Usman – in the local history museum, in Dolgorukovo – in the library, and in the Khlevensky district – in the People’s Maritime Museum of Admiral Naum Senyavin.

The central location was Victory Park in Lipetsk. Soldiers of the North Military District and members of their families, deputies, athletes, members of the Youth Army, and students of military-patriotic schools were tested here.

Among the participants at the main site were the deputy of the regional Council Andrei Frolov, the deputy secretary of the regional branch of the United Russia party Stanislav Kamenetsky, the head of the regional executive committee Evgeny Zenkov, the first deputy head of the REC Dmitry Aksenov, a member of the SVO, coordinator of the party project “Historical Memory” Sergei Fedorets.

“This All-Russian event is not just a test of spelling and grammar, it is an opportunity to immerse yourself in history and feel like part of the great feat of our ancestors. It is important to remember that the past of our mighty country is filled with heroism and sacrifice. The Great Patriotic War left us with a legacy of not only victory, but also lessons of courage, fortitude and patriotism. We must remember and pass on these values to future generations so that they value and cherish the freedom for which our ancestors fought. The main thing here is not victory, but participation,” said Sergei Fedorets.

After the welcoming speech, Lipetsk residents were given tests and started the dictation. Participants had to answer 25 questions in 45 minutes, which were dedicated to the liberation of the occupied territories of the USSR, Crimea and Sevastopol, and the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Leningrad. Almost everyone completed testing ahead of schedule.

“Victory Dictation” is necessary so that we always remember the feat of our ancestors. History cannot be rewritten, as they are doing now in unfriendly countries. It was our fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers who made a huge contribution to the victory. They sacrificed themselves for our future. And everyone should know about this, honor and remember,” said First Deputy Regional Executive Committee Dmitry Aksyonov.

This year, together with the “Victory Dictation”, the “Letter to the Hero” event is also taking place. Before and after testing, everyone who wanted to convey a message to the soldiers at the front was given a letter form – a triangle. At the end of the dictation, all letters will be sent to our heroes as soon as possible. Little David also wrote a letter:

“Dear soldier! We admire your courage and resilience. Every morning we wake up grateful to you for our peaceful sky. We are waiting for you. Come back safe and sound!”

The results of the Victory Dictation are planned to be summed up in June. The results will be available on the promotion website in your personal account. The winner will have the opportunity to participate in the main Victory Parade next year.
