Voronezh journalists took part in a large-scale presentation of the possibilities of innovative mobile application “Rostelecom Key”(6+).

Rostelecom gathered media representatives in Kaluga, where they demonstrated a house that was already connected to the service and could well be called “smart.”

We are talking about a mobile application that allows residents to control not only their own apartment, but also the residential complex as a whole. Control begins with the intercom. If someone calls, the smartphone will instantly respond to this and show the image from the camera. And the owner will already decide whether to let the guest in or not.

Thanks to video cameras placed around the perimeter of the residential complex, in the entrances and on the floors, users of the digital service can monitor what is happening in the yard around the clock. This is not only convenient, but also increases the level of security, because the records are stored in an archive. As they say, you need to know hooligans by sight.

As for motorists, they do not have to look for the barrier remote control every time. The camera will automatically recognize the car’s license plate number and let you into the yard. And if you are waiting for a taxi or courier, you can send them a temporary code.

A house key in the usual sense is also no longer needed, because it is replaced by an electronic one. Just open the application, press the corresponding button on the smartphone screen – and the entrance door will be open. And even easier, if you connect the facial recognition function, you won’t need the gadget at all.

– It was very interesting to see how a “smart home” works in reality, and not on paper. And that’s impressive. For me there are two main advantages: convenience and safety. I think that in the future such services will be used en masse in housing construction. And this is correct, since today information technologies make it possible to make many areas of our lives easier.
