Moscow. 26 April. INTERFAX.RU – In the regions of the center of the European part of Russia, work in the garden and vegetable garden can already begin in the coming days, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand gave the go-ahead at a press conference.

This is how he answered the question whether it is possible to start planting in the central part of Russia.

“Now, firstly, the frosts are not as intense as before in general. And when planting during light frosts, nothing happens, the vegetation just freezes, but then quickly recovers. Therefore, yes, we can begin this work,” he said.

He noted that meteorologists at the end of the last and beginning of this century did not recommend doing gardening in the first ten days of May, since frosts were very often observed, “but due to climate warming, now the point of view has changed.”

Speaking about the weather, Vilfand noted that April of this year in Moscow, according to preliminary calculations, could take third place in the rank of the hottest Aprils. There will be more precipitation than normal in April.
