Vologda will temporarily stop issuing land plots to large families in the Old Highway area

According to the project, a radial development principle was planned in this area. The main streets run from the center to the periphery and are intersected by smaller ring streets. At the moment, none of the owners of the plots are building houses. The area is swampy. Networks and roads need to be built on the territory. Until this problem is resolved, the issuance of land plots will be stopped here. This order was given by… O. Mayor of Vologda Andrey Nakroshaev. Possible options and costs are currently being studied, and engineering surveys will be carried out. The issue will be resolved with people who have already been provided with plots.

“Once again I will voice my position on land plots on the Old Highway. Their distribution to large families has been stopped. I went to the site and personally understood the situation even before stories on this topic appeared on the Internet. The day before, the information was published by the Popular Front. I completely agree with residents and experts. While the area is in this condition, it is impossible to build houses here. To develop a residential area, it is necessary to lay networks and roads. It is necessary to estimate the cost of these works and determine their feasibility. The issue with those families that have already received plots is being worked out. We are considering different options,”– said the acting Mayor Andrey Nakroshaev.

Since 2019, large families have the opportunity to use a land certificate and receive money instead of a plot. Last year, 578 families in the region took advantage of this right. In total, more than six thousand Vologda families received payments under the Land Certificate program.
