The first city engineering championship was held in Tambov

The first city engineering championship was held in Tambov. Three teams took part in it: students from the 29th and 14th lyceums, as well as guys from the Tambov Quantorium.

“Here are 50 centimeters. Now a hand appears. I begin to approach, approach, approach, approach. – Works. The center of it.”

The corporation with the simple name “ElectronicUm” is in full swing. The guys from the 29th Lyceum are working on creating a robot that will carry out cargo transportation in the workshops of a large enterprise. The team has 4 subgroups: marketers, graphic designers, those involved in the control panel, and the actual developers of the robot itself.

Mikhail Kolomeytsev, 11th grade student of MAOU “Lyceum No. 29”: “The robot moves along the line towards the containers and grabs the desired container. This way. He picks him up and takes him to a certain workshop. There he dumps it, and this cycle repeats until he transports all three containers. All containers are transported in a certain sequence, which is set by the operator.”

“Why does she squeak? – This means that the Orduina is ready to accept a sequence of buttons. The sequence of buttons is, accordingly, the sequence of goods that need to be transported to different workshops.”

The guys have two more teams as rivals: representatives of the Tambov Quantorium and students of the 14th Lyceum. Both perform the same task – automating the delivery of goods from the warehouse to the workshop.

Vladislav Pechersky, 10th grade student of MAOU “Lyceum No. 14”: “Our model will be unique in that it reads a sequence of colors. That is, what cargo needs to be transported where immediately. And she doesn’t need to first take one, then drive up to count the next one. We are also trying to focus on speed so that cargo is delivered as quickly as possible.”

The engineering championship is being held in Tambov for the first time and its organizer is the 29th Lyceum.

Svetlana Nechaeva, Deputy Director for Educational Work, MAOU “Lyceum No. 29”:“In real life, we rarely deal with any one area; we always have to communicate with other areas and do something in common. Therefore, the guys here will see and feel in practice and maybe learn something, namely how to create, solve a common problem together with people who have completely different competencies.”

The sponsor and partner of the championship was Tambov “Electropribor”. His employees also served as a jury.

Andrey Belokopytov and Mikhail Zverev, employees of PJSC Tambov Plant Elektropribor: “First of all, it is important for us that this event is carried out accurately and correctly, that this task is completed. – Among other things, we appreciate the creative approach. To see how the students’ heads work, so to speak, how they can realize the assigned tasks.”

Cash prizes await young roboticists as prizes: for first place – a certificate worth 6 thousand rubles, for second – 5 thousand and for third – 4 thousand. The guys will also be assessed by category. For example, “Best Roboticist” or “Best Graphic Designer”.
