In April 2024, the production of gasoline and diesel fuel in Russia stabilized, supplies to the domestic market exceeded the volumes of 2023, while exports decreased. About it
reports official website of the Cabinet of Ministers following the meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak with oil workers.

“According to the Ministry of Energy, the production of gasoline and diesel fuel stabilized in April, supplies to the domestic market exceed last year’s volumes, and exports are reduced. The dynamics of retail fuel prices for the current period are below inflation,” the release says.

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy reported that in mid-April, gasoline production volumes in Russia recovered after a decline due to unplanned repairs at refineries. The ministry emphasized that the increase in production was achieved by ensuring the rhythmic and stable export of finished products from factories.

According to Rosstat, Russian refineries have restored gasoline production volumes in comparison with the figures of both a month and a year ago. In the week of April 8–14, production amounted to 845.9 thousand tons, 12.1% higher than the level of the week of April 1–7.

Gasoline production fell from 838.9 thousand tons for March 4–10 to 815.3 thousand tons for March 11–17 and 754.6 thousand tons for March 18–24. Following this, a slow recovery in production began.
