On May 3 at 15:00, the only concert of the Moscow exemplary orchestra of the National Guard of the Russian Federation will take place at the Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet of the Komi Republic. The group is rightfully one of the best military musical artistic and creative groups of the National Guard troops. The orchestra successfully performs in various concert halls and concert venues in our country and abroad, and takes an active part in the musical arrangement of significant socio-political events in the country.

The orchestra is the legal successor of the Exemplary Orchestra of the Separate Motorized Rifle Order of V.I. Lenin named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky special purpose division (created on December 6, 1956), which, by order of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs of October 11, 1971 No. 282, was removed from the formation, subordinated directly to the headquarters of the internal troops of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs and renamed the Exemplary Orchestra of the Internal Troops of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2016, the orchestra was renamed the Exemplary Orchestra of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.

The team’s activities are extensive and varied. Focusing mainly on military audiences, the orchestra successfully performs in various concert halls and concert venues in our country and abroad, and takes an active part in the musical arrangement of significant socio-political events in the country.

The creative biography of the team is integrally connected with the daily life of the troops. The orchestra carries out extensive concert and educational work among military personnel, employees, members of the National Guard troops and members of their families, and takes an active part in military-patriotic education. The orchestra’s performances in front of military personnel performing combat missions in hot spots of the country in Fergana, Kokand, Kuvasay, Andijan in 1989, and repeated trips to the Chechen Republic since 1995, contributed to raising the morale of soldiers and allowed them to take their mind off the difficulties of difficult service.

Over the years of its official and creative activity, the orchestra gave hundreds of concerts, made numerous recordings on the radio, recorded a concert program on television, and starred in the documentary film “Moscow Gives the Start.” The orchestra took part in the musical arrangement of the Olympics in 1980, the World Festival of Youth and Students in 1986, the Druzhba-84 sports games, and performed in musical and theatrical performances during the celebration of the 850th anniversary of Moscow.

The performing capabilities of the group are very wide. Both large-scale works and miniatures are equally accessible to him; he can successfully accompany a soloist-vocalist or instrumentalist, and brilliantly perform the service repertoire.

Currently, the Exemplary Orchestra of the National Guard of the Russian Federation includes a brass and symphony orchestra.

The artistic director is the head of the military orchestra service, the chief military conductor of the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Colonel Nikolai Mitkevich.
