The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region expects to receive a conclusion on the reconstruction of the premises of the Philharmonic in Nizhny Novgorod in June 2024. Deputy Governor Oleg Berkovich announced this during the presentation of the cultural program for the year on April 26.
According to the deputy governor, the project is currently being finalized. They plan to send it for state examination at the beginning of May, and by the end of June they will understand the cost and timing of the work.
Berkovich noted that the project involves the reconstruction of the hall and office space behind it. The foyer of the Philharmonic has already been renovated for the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod in 2021.
He also emphasized that according to the original plan, work was planned to begin in the summer of 2024, but due to the development of the project, they had to be postponed.
Let us recall that in 2022, 15 million rubles were allocated for the overhaul project of the second building of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, which, in addition to the Philharmonic, houses the Legislative Assembly and the Ministry of Economics.
Let us also recall that the regional Ministry of Culture postponed to June the completion of the design of the reconstruction of the main building of the Theater for Young Spectators in Nizhny Novgorod.
