In Volgograd, in the village of a hydroelectric power station, the construction of a new school for 800 students continues

Modern, spacious and comfortable. In the hydroelectric power station village of the Traktorozavodsky district, they continue to build a three-story school with 800 seats. The progress of work at the site was assessed by deputies of the Volgograd City Duma and representatives of the municipality during an off-site meeting within the framework of party control.

Very soon school bells and sonorous children’s voices will be heard here, but for now the sounds of construction tools can be heard. The construction of a new educational institution in the hydroelectric power station village is proceeding at an active pace. Special equipment and more than 70 workers are used at the site every day.

The educational institution in the GES village will become a “twin” of a previously built school in the Kirovsky district. Only even more spacious, taking into account new legal requirements. Every detail here is thought out to make the learning process as comfortable as possible.

The new school will have 33 classrooms. 800 students will sit at their desks. The main thing is that they will all study in one shift. This means that boys and girls will have time for additional creative and sports activities.

The building of the educational institution will also house a medical unit with dentist and psychologist offices, a dining room with 440 seats, an assembly hall with a dressing room and a storage room for musical instruments, a gym with locker rooms and showers, and a library with a reading room. The children will be able to study in their own television studio and master the control of unmanned aerial vehicles.

As part of the national project “Education”, by decision of the governor, a wonderful school is being built. We see that construction is on schedule. This event was highly anticipated by the residents of the hydroelectric station. This modern school will indeed open up new opportunities for children’s education,” emphasized Deputy of the Volgograd City Duma Dmitry Fedyushkin.

On the site adjacent to the school building there will be a stadium with a special rubber covering for running tracks, a sports complex for passing GTO standards and places for children to relax.

This is an opportunity not only for schoolchildren, but also for residents of the hydroelectric power station village, because there will be unique sports grounds, modern sports equipment, which will once again introduce our residents, children, to physical education and sports, – said Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education, Culture, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism of the Volgograd City Duma Ivan Seleznev.

Local residents are looking forward to the construction of a new educational institution with great impatience. Currently, there is one school in the HPP village – No. 87.

The HPP village has needed this school for a very long time, because approximately 30-35% of our schoolchildren go to Spartanovka to study. The village is growing. And this school, of course, will fill this need,” noted head of the administration of the Traktorozavodsky district of Volgograd Igor Romanov.

The facility is planned to be commissioned in the 1st quarter of 2025. In addition to the school in the hydroelectric power station village in Volgograd, three more educational institutions with 3.5 thousand places are currently being designed and built. The construction of schools is one of the important areas being implemented by the region’s governor, Andrei Bocharov. Since 2018, 11 new schools have been opened in the region.
