In Kaliningrad, the fireworks display in honor of Victory Day and the reconstruction of the assault on Fort No. 5 were canceled. The head of the press service of the regional government, Dmitry Lyskov, told reporters about this.
“In order to ensure the safety of residents and guests of our region, it was decided to cancel the fireworks display on May 9. It was also decided to cancel the traditional reconstruction of the assault on Fort No. 5,” he said.
There will be no procession of the immortal regiment in Kaliningrad. “This year the commemorative event will be held in new formats,” Lyskov noted.
