Since the beginning of the year, drivers have used bus parking in the city more than 20 thousand times

Since the beginning of 2024, drivers have used the capital’s bus and truck parking lots more than 20 thousand times. This was reported by the press service of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure in Moscow.

“Providing dedicated parking for buses and trucks helps make roads even safer and reduces the number of violations of stopping and parking rules. Since the beginning of the year, drivers have used such places more than 20 thousand times. This is 25% more than in the same period last year,” said Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov.

Special paid parking spaces for buses are created near attractions with a large flow of tourists, and for trucks – near shops and shopping centers for the purpose of unloading and loading goods.

The numbers of such parking zones begin with the number 5: only buses or trucks can be parked here. After 30 minutes of parking, its price increases significantly. This is done so that the spaces are not occupied for a long time and other drivers can stop there.
