The concert “And people remember your famous march” will take place in Tambov

“And people remember your famous march” is the name of the concert of children’s brass bands, which will take place on April 27 at the Rachmaninov State Musical Pedagogical Institute. The event is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the composer, military conductor, author of the march “Farewell of the Slavyanka” written in Tambov – Vasily Agapkin.

Two children’s groups will take part in the concert: the Shatrov Brass Band and the Merzhanov Brass Band. The program includes works by Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Krylatov, Howman, Strauss, Shatrov and, of course, Agapkin himself.
