Two elderly residents of Tula became victims of scammers. Both women lost their property, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

A 70-year-old woman contacted the “Central” police department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Tula. She said that for 3 months she received calls from allegedly employees of the Central Bank and the police and reported attempts by unknown persons to cash out her accounts. To prevent loans from being issued in her name, it was necessary to take out loans from the bank and then transfer them to a “safe account.” Next, the woman was asked to catch a group of scammers who were trying to apply for a loan. The scammers persuaded the woman to sell her apartment. Allegedly, this was supposed to help cancel the application for a loan secured by an apartment. The pensioner sold the apartment and sent the proceeds to the specified account. As a result, she was left homeless and without money.

A 78-year-old pensioner from Tula also lost her property. She transferred to the scammers 8 million 615 thousand rubles received from the sale of the apartment, as well as 705 thousand rubles taken on credit. Criminal cases of fraud have been opened in connection with both facts.

In Aleksin, a 78-year-old pensioner was accused by telephone of committing illegal financial schemes. To refute these actions, he needed to provide all the money he had to undergo the “examination” procedure. He handed over 2 million rubles to an unknown person. .
