The scene of the accident was a section of Zwillinga Street in the area of the Lokomotiv Stadium tram stop.
“According to preliminary data, a man, driving a LADA Priora, hit a pedestrian crossing the roadway in an undesignated place for crossing,” reported the Chelyabinsk State Traffic Safety Inspectorate propaganda department.
A 12-year-old boy who was caught under the wheels of a car was injured. He was taken from the scene of the accident to the hospital.
The inspectors appealed to Chelyabinsk residents to comply with traffic rules. This applies to both drivers and pedestrians.
As Chelyabinsk Today reported earlier, yesterday at the intersection of Sverdlovsky Prospekt and Ostrovsky Street, an ambulance and a Japanese mini-crossover collided. At that moment, a patient was being transported in an ambulance; he was not injured, but the paramedic who was traveling with him was injured.
