Landscape fires are being extinguished in Tver

The burning of dry grass and debris poses a great danger to the green areas of the city.

In Tver, in connection with the fire danger period, organizational and technical measures are being taken to prevent the occurrence and spread of fires. In Tver, the first cases of fires in dry vegetation have already been recorded – employees of the fire and rescue units, with the help of employees of MKU “Spasatel” and district administrations, extinguished five landscape fires.

“Tver has more than 20 parks, groves and green areas with a total area of more than a thousand hectares. On their territory, work is regularly carried out to clean up unauthorized garbage dumps and dead wood, and information boards at the entrances to Komsomolskaya, Pervomaiskaya, Berezovaya and Bobachevskaya groves have been updated. Monitoring groups work in all areas of the city, which, during regular inspections, check the condition of natural areas and identify persons involved in arson in order to bring them to justice,”
– reported the administration of Tver.

In order to prevent wild fires, the Tver administration has prepared and is implementing a set of preventive measures. All necessary regulatory documents have been developed and approved, interactions with enterprises and organizations of the city in extinguishing fires have been worked out.

Employees of district administrations carry out explanatory work with residents, and leaflets on fire safety requirements have been developed and distributed. If a fire is detected, you must report it by calling the Unified Duty Dispatch Service: 8(4822) 44-12-44.

Let us remind you that the grass began to burn in the Tver region. The fire season has begun in the Upper Volga region and will last until September 30. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Tver Region reminds residents of the basic fire safety requirements:

– it is prohibited to burn dead wood and garbage on the site;
– it is necessary to store primary fire extinguishing means (fire extinguisher, container with sand and water) in an accessible place;
– remove fuels and lubricants from direct sunlight;
– make sure that the electrical wiring and all electrical equipment are working properly.

Residents of the Tver region were warned about “fiery avalanches” threatening them.
