An agreement on cooperation between the Ivanovo region and business representatives of the People’s Republic of China was signed. Governor Stanislav Voskresensky is in the Middle Kingdom on a business visit. The head of the region presented the investment, economic, educational and cultural potential of our region. On Friday, April 26, at the Russian Embassy in China, representatives of Chinese business and business circles in our region discussed the prospects for cooperation. The meeting was held at a high level. Stanislav Voskresensky spoke about the economic, investment and educational potential. First, he recalled the special ties between the Ivanovo region and the Middle Kingdom. We were talking about the Interhome, where 115 children of Chinese revolutionaries were raised, including the children of the founder of the People’s Republic of China, Mao Zedong.
A special guest at this meeting was Anatoly Li, a graduate of the Ivanovo Interhouse named after Stasova. Stanislav Voskresensky noted the advantages of the region, geographical location, and developed transport infrastructure. More than half of the residents live in small towns.
“The entire region is a single agglomeration where our people can move comfortably. For example, live in one city, work in another, spend leisure time in a third,” the governor noted.
