Over the course of a week, several blocks of the Tupikovsky forestry in the Kholm-Zhirkovsky district were examined. In the vicinity of the road Vladimirskoye – Vladimirsky Dead End, the alleged burial place of soldiers and commanders of the 11th Cavalry Corps who died during the Great Patriotic War was explored.
According to the head of the Ryazan regional branch of the Search Movement of Russia, Nikolai Strelkov, excavations at the burial site are currently impossible due to natural conditions. Work will continue during the summer shift. A large number of exhibits were found for transfer to school museums in the city of Ryazan.
– On the eve of Victory Day, we held a meeting with local schoolchildren and talked about perpetuating the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland and preserving historical memory. They talked about the activities of the “Search Movement of Russia” and the Oka-Ryazan search team. We touched on the topic of the Northern Military District, the reasons for the start of a special military operation, the validity of our actions, as well as the relationship with the Great Patriotic War,” said Nikolai Strelkov.
