Fire-tactical training exercises were held at an oil products storage facility in the Kursk region. The administration of the facility calls the fire department, begins to extinguish the fire with primary fire extinguishing means, and evacuates the facility.
Firefighters from the 12th fire and rescue unit in Kursk were the first to arrive at the scene of the fire. A tank is burning on an area of 500 square meters, and there is a threat of the fire spreading to neighboring tanks.
Several combat areas are created on site, and barrels are supplied to cool the tanks.
45 minutes after the fire broke out, forces and means sufficient to localize it arrived at the scene.
It took firefighters about an hour to completely extinguish the fire. In total, 19 pieces of equipment and about 50 personnel took part in the exercises.
