Schoolchildren, students, employees of enterprises and other active residents of the Oktyabrsky district celebrated his anniversary by running. More than 1,000 amateur athletes took part in the relay race in memory of Boris Bogatkov. A race of different distances was held on Mikhailovskaya Embankment.

“First place! I am glad! The very first distance is 460 meters, yes, very difficult! We were very far behind, but then we caught up and took the lead. And here we came first,” relay participant Yegor Churbakov shared his impressions.
“The distance was difficult, but there was still adrenaline. Tired at the end. There was a big gap, it turns out, and they broke away from us. Second place is also good, I’m happy, cool! I liked it!” said another race participant, Vyacheslav Mulin, after the finish.
After the sports part, it was time for the creative part: all the athletes could relax and listen to the concert. And on May 9, the winners will take part in another important start of the track and field relay race in memory of Marshal Alexander Pokryshkin.
