The event takes place annually as part of the United Russia federal party project “Historical Memory”.

Its goal is to attract the interest of young people to the events of the heroic past of our country, to give everyone the opportunity to test their knowledge of history and learn new information about the forgotten exploits of their ancestors.

The event was attended by a veteran of the Great Patriotic War Vladimir Petrovich Lavrovdeputy chairmen of the Tula City Duma, members of the United Russia faction Anastasia Dementieva And Evgeniy SmolyaninovUnited Russia deputies Daria Gerasimova, Inna Sheveleva, Oleg Pogorelov And Oleg Danshinmembers of the Tula Council of War Veterans, Labor Veterans, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, participants in a special military operation, young sambo athletes, residents of the regional center.

Addressed the participants with a welcoming speech Evgeniy Smolyaninov. In his speech, the deputy chairman of the Tula City Duma thanked the veterans for their heroic deeds during the Great Patriotic War.

Evgeniy Smolyaninov

— All of us, regardless of age, social status, nationality, are united by respect for the past and the feat of the generation of winners. It is our attitude to the events of the Great Patriotic War that determines what kind of world our children and grandchildren will live in. Patriotism is the main thing that we must instill and pass on to the younger generation. This is especially important today, when in the modern information age the history of our country, the history of the Great Victory, is distorted. Events such as the educational campaign “Victory Dictation” build the development and prosperity of our country brick by brick,” he emphasized Evgeniy Smolyaninov.

The deputy chairman of the Tula City Duma shared her impressions of participating in the event Anastasia Dementieva:

Anastasia Dementieva

“It’s very pleasant that every year more and more people take part in the educational campaign “Victory Dictation.” This once again proves that great importance is attached to strengthening patriotic traditions in our country. This is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with the history of our Motherland, learn a lot about the events of the Great Patriotic War and, of course, this is a great feeling of pride in the glorious past not only of our country, but also of the Tula region, which made a huge contribution to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The heroism and courage shown by the Tula people during the defense did not allow the enemy to break through to Moscow. Serious strategic successes were achieved, which overall had an impact on our Victory. It is very pleasant that today during the action, together with students and schoolchildren, our dear veterans and participants in a special military operation wrote the dictation. May God grant the guys who are defending our country on the front line today health, good luck and strength. Victory will definitely be ours!

Chairman of the Tula City Duma Standing Commission on Local Self-Government, Regulations and Inter-Party Cooperation Daria Gerasimova believes that the theme of the Great Patriotic War concerns every person:

Daria Gerasimova

“The memory of her is a strong bridge that connects generations. As a relic, we preserve the memories of those events and pass them on to our children. From Moscow to Berlin, our great-grandfathers, grandfathers and fathers heroically fought for the Motherland with arms in hand and worked tirelessly in the rear. They believed that no matter how hard it was, victory would still be ours. The campaign “Victory Dictation” is just about this: about memory, feelings and emotions.

According to Oleg Pogorelovthe point of the action is not to evaluate knowledge, but to make people remember what happened during the Great Patriotic War.

Oleg Pogorelov

— I take part in the Victory Dictation every year and have never missed it. Today I came here together with young activists of the Proletarian District. This action is extremely necessary, because every resident of our country should remember and know their history. “Thank you very much to the organizers of the event,” the deputy noted.

Chairman of the Tula City Duma Standing Commission on Social Policy Inna Sheveleva I am sure that the large number of young people who take part in the Victory Dictation indicate that the younger generation is interested in the heroic pages of our Motherland.

Inna Sheveleva

“I am glad that today a large number of young people are participating in the action. Today my grandson, just like me, writes the Victory Dictation at school. There is an expression “Ivan, who does not remember his kinship.” So in our country there are no such Ivanovs. Everyone here remembers and knows the history of the Fatherland. “I am very proud that Russians treat with reverence and care the feat of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War,” said Inna Sheveleva.

Oleg Danshin noted that the questions in the dictation were difficult and interesting.

Oleg Danshin

— This is my first time taking part in this event. I didn’t prepare specifically because I am confident in my knowledge. Today, young sambo athletes wrote a dictation with me for the first time. I hope their result will be higher than mine, since I graduated from school in 1993. I express my gratitude to the organizers of the event. “Everything went at a high level,” the deputy commented.

The action was initiated by the United Russia party together with the Russian Historical Society, the Russian Military Historical Society, the Russian Union of Veterans and the All-Russian organization “Volunteers of Victory”.

This year the “Victory Dictation” is held for the sixth time. The assignments are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad, the withdrawal of Soviet troops to the borders of the USSR (one of the key stages of the liberation mission of the Red Army), the anniversaries of front-line writers, as well as other memorable dates. More than 800 sites were prepared to pass the historical test in the Tula region.
