In Orenburg, a 39-year-old woman will stand trial on charges of fraud. An Orenburg woman introduced herself as a realtor and defrauded a local resident of 1 million rubles.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the attacker pretended to be an employee of one of the real estate agencies in the regional center. She turned to a local resident with a proposal for selecting real estate. According to the concluded agency agreement, the accused was supposed to help the client in obtaining a mortgage loan, searching for real estate, and preparing documents for 50 thousand rubles.

After receiving money from the victim, the false realtor informed the woman about the possibility of building in Rostoshinsky Ponds, for which she demanded another 750 thousand rubles in order to transfer them to the construction organization as a down payment. The victim also gave the accused 12 thousand rubles as payment for preparing the house project, and then another 287 thousand rubles due to the increase in construction costs.

The prosecutor’s office approved the indictment and sent the criminal case to court for consideration on the merits. The accused faces punishment of up to 10 years in prison with a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
