April 24, 2024 at the Bank “Levoberezhny» a meeting of pensioners with experts in the field of financial literacy was held.
As part of improving financial literacy and financial culture of the older generation, a special event was held for people of pre-retirement and retirement age, dedicated to financial well-being and financial security.
The meeting was organized by Levoberezhny Bank with the support of the Siberian State Institution of the Bank of Russia and the ANO House of Financial Education.
Specialists from the Siberian Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia conducted a master class on determining the authenticity of banknotes and explained how to avoid falling into a financial pyramid. A volunteer expert at the Novosibirsk House of Financial Education, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Finance at NSUEU, gave advice on how to protect yourself from scammers. Regional Manager of the Bank “Levoberezhny» told what will change in the financial sector in 2024, what financial instruments are relevant today, how to protect savings from inflation and whether it is worth taking part in special promotions for pensioners.
Pensioners actively asked questions about counterfeit banknotes, about inspections of companies to detect financial pyramids, about exchanging euros and buying cryptocurrencies.
At the end of the event, tickets to the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, the Novosibirsk Musical Comedy Theater and the Novosibirsk Academic Youth Theater “Globe”, as well as a practical raincoat and a spacious lightweight trolley bag, were raffled off among all the participants present.
78 people took part in the in-person event. Also, thanks to the live broadcast, 112 pensioners from 24 districts of the Novosibirsk region were able to listen to the lectures.
