On April 26 in Kaluga, Governor Vladislav Shapsha took part in the work of the XX Congress of the Council (Association) of Municipal Entities of the Region and the XIII Congress of Deputies of Representative Bodies of Municipal Entities of the Region.

The event was attended by Federal Inspector for the Kaluga Region Alexey Lebedev, members of the regional Government, heads of territorial divisions of the federal executive authorities of the region, deputies of the Legislative Assembly and representative bodies of municipalities, heads of administrations of municipalities in the region, representatives of public organizations, and the media.

In his speech, Vladislav Shapsha congratulated everyone present on their professional holiday – Local Government Day, which is celebrated on April 21.

Speaking about the importance of this institution of power, the governor noted that the Council for the Development of Local Self-Government operates under the President of Russia, and this year the first All-Russian Municipal Forum “Small Motherland is the Strength of Russia” was held. On behalf of the head of state, the honorary title “Honored Worker of Local Government” One of the first in the country to receive this award were the head of the administration of the rural settlement “Railway Station Kudrinskaya” in the Meshchovsky District, Tamara Stoborova, and the head of the administration of the rural settlement “Poselok Myatlevo”, Iznoskovsky District, Lyubov Venediktova.

According to the head of the region, the region has many effective tools for involving the population in solving local problems. As an example, the governor cited voting for improvement projects under the “Creating a comfortable urban environment» national project “Housing and Urban Environment”. Among the tasks that the head of the region set for the participants of the congresses were holding events dedicated to the Year of the Family, implementing existing and new national projects, strengthening efforts to attract investments, strengthening economic cooperation between territories and using public-private partnership mechanisms.

The talk, in particular, was about the development of rural areas, participation in the projects “Municipal Dialogue”, “Strong Family – Strong Russia”. Particular attention was paid to the support measures provided by the region’s municipalities to SVO participants and members of their families. An awards ceremony was also held as part of the event.
