Since the beginning of the fire season, not a single fire has occurred in Tyumen forests. The season started on April 5.

During the first 20 days – from April 5 to April 25 – of the fire season declared by the governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, not a single forest fire occurred in the region. This was reported by the press service of the forestry department of the Tyumen region.

To monitor the situation with fires in the forest fund of the region, patrols are brought in and work in enhanced mode. They increased the number of raids per day, as well as the total length of the route. Since the beginning of the season, about 440 trips have been made.

In addition, the forests are monitored around the clock using CCTV cameras and air patrols by drones.

Since April 5 of this year, only one person has been brought to administrative responsibility for failure to comply with fire safety rules. The introduction of a fire season limits the movement of people in forests. Four local residents were prosecuted for violating this rule.

It is noted that since the beginning of the season, 79 landscape fires have occurred in the Tyumen region. 21 of them could pose a threat to the forest fund. The most complex fires occurred in the regional capital on April 15. The fire appeared in a swampy area and could have spread not only to the forest, but also to the buildings of local residents.

Employees of the Tyumen air base were involved in extinguishing the fires, and heavy tracked vehicles were used. All fires were eliminated.

Stopping a fire caused by dry grass is not an easy task. Homes or even populated areas can be damaged by burning grass. Grass burns cause heavy smoke and in many cases become the cause of forest fires. In this regard, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations warns citizens about the inadmissibility of burning dry grass.
