In St. Petersburg, bridges will not be raised on the night of May 2 in connection with the Spring and Labor Day, the press service of the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution Mostotrest said.
“According to established tradition and according to the rules for the operation of bridges and embankments in St. Petersburg, bridges are not erected on non-working holidays in Russia,” the institution stated.
Changes in the bridge construction schedule will be promptly published on the Mostotrest website. Residents of St. Petersburg are urged to be careful and plan their route in advance.
Earlier, MR7 wrote that active repairs had begun on the bridges and embankments of St. Petersburg. Asphalt will be changed at 25 sites with a total length of 9,000 kilometers.
