In the Omsk region, regular raids were carried out to identify migrants who are staying and working in Russia illegally.

This time, employees of the Migration Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Omsk Region and the military investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Omsk garrison descended on various construction sites. In total, the documents of more than 40 migrants and those who had already received Russian citizenship were checked.

After an inspection, protocols were drawn up for 11 citizens of Uzbekistan for illegally carrying out labor activities in the Russian Federation. Of these, only three will stay in Russia. 8 people will be immediately expelled from the country.

Also, protocols were drawn up against five foreigners for providing false documents when carrying out migration registration activities, and another migrant was held accountable for violating the regime of stay in the Russian Federation.

Inspections are also being carried out against employers who hired migrants. They may be subject to administrative liability.

Work also continues to attract migrants who have received Russian passports to serve in the army. This week, three foreigners voluntarily entered into contracts for military service with the Ministry of Defense.
