Rostov region, April 26, 2024. DON24.RU. The Russian transport system is very large not even because of the territory, but because of logistics, says Vladimir Savin, head of the Kamensky district administration. He expressed his opinion at the “Expert Club” site.

“Naturally, large objects require a strategic purpose for the economy, transit traffic and even defense capability. I am sure that the number of roads increases every year at the expense of federal and regional funds,” he wrote.

Vladimir Savin added that about 50 km of roads are repaired annually in the Kamensky district.

“We try to please our residents, doing all possible work to improve the quality of life. Moreover, our territory has access to the federal highway, so passenger traffic is very high. I believe that the logistics road system in our region is becoming simpler. Road traffic in any direction is facilitated through Rostov. And traffic jams are created more often because during road repairs, drivers do not follow the procedure for changing lanes,” says the mayor.

The head of the administration of the Tsimlyansky district of the Rostov region, Elena Nochevkina, noted that Russia is not stopping large construction projects in 2023–2024, despite the tense political situation.

“They are launching enterprises, increasing the capacity of main pipelines, and providing jobs for thousands of people. New railway lines are being put into operation and modern residential buildings and structures are being erected,” she wrote.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with veteran builders of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, announced his intention to implement plans for the accelerated renovation of the Baikal-Amur Mainline and the Trans-Siberian Railway.

As part of the construction of the third stage of the BAM, by 2030 it is planned to increase the carrying capacity of the line to 210 million tons. This is being done as part of the implementation of the infrastructure tasks set in the President’s message. This year, the Moscow-Kazan expressway will be extended to Yekaterinburg, and next year to Tyumen. In the future, a modern and safe route will pass through the entire country – to Vladivostok. Also, in six years, more than 50 city bypasses and the Dzhubga-Sochi highway should be built in Russia. It will reduce travel time from the M4 Don highway to Sochi by four times and will allow the Black Sea coast to actively develop. In the coming years, special emphasis will be placed on the development of regional roads.
