According to information, the head of Nizhny Novgorod Yuri Shalabaev and the khokim of Bukhara Jamol Nosirov discussed the start of the Days of Nizhny Novgorod in Bukhara on April 26.
According to Yuri Shalabaev, cooperation between sister cities is actively developing in several directions, starting with joint projects in the field of education. In particular, conducting school lessons about the history of cities using VR technologies.
“And now we have expanded our “Path of Friendship”, adding cultural and sports components. Our cultural institutions, museums, ensembles, libraries, choirs, young athletes came to the Days of Nizhny Novgorod. We are glad to cooperate with Bukhara in different directions and see how open our partners. After the opening on Shakhriston Square, we will wait for feedback from the residents of Bukhara,” noted Yuri Shalabaev.
The head of Nizhny Novgorod added that sister cities can begin to develop cooperation in terms of economics and entrepreneurship, as well as establish interaction between deputy corps.
As Jamol Nosirov noted, Bukhara currently has 17 sister cities, but the most fruitful cooperation takes place with Nizhny Novgorod.
“There are partners with whom we have been sister cities for 30 years, but we do not have such large-scale interaction as with Nizhny Novgorod with any of our sister cities. We are all friends and communicate, but with Nizhny Novgorod we have the maximum effect. I am convinced that the residents of Bukhara and the guests will be delighted with the concert programs,” said Jamol Nosirov.
The khokim of Bukhara added that cooperation between the cities will continue to actively develop. There are also plans to hold similar events in the capital of the Volga region.
Earlier it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod culture in Uzbekistan will be represented by the chamber choir “Nizhny Novgorod”, the chamber musical theater named after V.T. Stepanov, the folk song ensemble “Lyubava”, the State Museum of A.M. Gorky, the model library named after F.M. Dostoevsky and leading teachers of children’s art schools.
