A resident of the Dalmatovo district of the Kurgan region was sent to a maximum security colony for 12 years for beating his girlfriend, her mother and setting fire to the entryway of the house.
According to the case materials, in July last year, a resident of the Dalmatovo district threatened to kill his 18-year-old girlfriend. He tortured her for a long time and beat her, using various household items as tools.
On July 7, 2023, after an argument, the attacker entered the house where the girl lived at night and caused bodily harm to her mother. After that, he filled the entryway of the house with flammable liquid and set it on fire. Having discovered the fire, the victims left the house through the window.
– The evidence collected by the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kurgan Region was recognized by the court as sufficient to pass a verdict against a previously convicted 19-year-old resident of the Dalmatovsky district. The young man was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 1 of Art. 117, part 1 art. 119, part 2 art. 139, part 3 art. 30 p.p. “a, e” part 2 art. 105, part 2 art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture, threat of murder, illegal entry into a home, attempted murder of two persons, committed in a generally dangerous way, intentional damage to someone else’s property), – commented in Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kurgan Region.
At the request of the Investigative Committee investigator, the court chose a preventive measure against the accused in the form of detention. The convict was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony.
