Governor Roman Busargin visited the sowing fields of Sergei Ilyin’s farm

All districts of the Saratov region have begun spring field work. The total sown area is 4.1 million hectares, which is the same as last year. There is a 20% increase for durum wheat and soybeans. More than 13 thousand people will work in the fields this year.

Today, the regional governor, Roman Busargin, visited the Arkadak region, talked with farmers, found out how the work is progressing, and whether there are any difficulties. The visit of the head of the region began with a visit to the Ilyin farm.

This farm began its activities on the lands of the Krasnoznamensky municipal formation in 1992. At first it was led by Ilyina Lyubov. Since 2007, her son Sergei Ilyin took over the management of the agricultural enterprise.

The farm specializes in the production of grain and sunflower oil seeds. The farm has 3,200 hectares of arable land.

Sergei Ilyin attaches great importance to attracting investment in the development of his farm. The enterprise is fully provided with new modern agricultural machinery and agricultural implements.

A new mechtok was built on the territory, a weighing room was equipped, and three new spacious warehouses were built to store the grown crop. Two years ago, a major overhaul was carried out and the workshop was equipped to repair equipment.

The farm is fully staffed. The team consists of 14 people. This farm is one of the stable ones in our area.

In 2023-2024, the farm was provided with state support in the field of crop production for the production of grain and leguminous crops.

For the 2024 harvest, 800 hectares of winter wheat have been sown on the farm. It is planned to sow 700 hectares of sunflower and 1000 hectares of corn.

Here in the field where corn was being sowed, Governor Roman Busargin and the regional Minister of Agriculture Roman Kovalsky talked with the head of the farm, Sergei Ilyin, and his machine operators.

They said that winter crops overwintered well. In general, 98 percent of the winter wedge in the region is in good condition. And this is the basis of the future harvest.

Farms in the region, as well as in the Arkadak region, sow with Russian-produced seeds. 65 percent of the seeds are Saratov selections. It was emphasized that our developments in the field of agriculture are in no way inferior to foreign ones.
