The Favorit team from the Tyumen region will compete in the international robot battle championship. 13-year-old Mikhail, under the guidance of technology teacher, additional education teacher at Rio Center Alexander Kudryashov, will perform in the discipline “Battle of Mini-Robots”.
“Now we are at the first stage of the tournament – the presentation of our project. The most difficult thing is assembling robots, but I help Mikhail in every possible way, despite the fact that he has been making robots on his own for almost four years and has been passionate about this business since childhood. This is the first big start for us. Before this, Mikhail also participated in competitions at various levels, but “Battle of the Robots” was a new serious experience,” said Alexander Sergeevich.
The International Robot Battle Championship will be held for the second time. The selection of teams and the first stage of the competition will take place in August. The competitions feature two disciplines:
- “Robot Battle” – for participants of all ages, a robot weighing up to 110 kilograms;
- “Battle of mini-robots” – schoolchildren and students from 10 to 17 years old can participate with robots up to one and a half kilograms.
The first category will feature 64 teams from nine countries – Russia, Belarus, Brazil, India, Iran, China, USA, Turkey and Ecuador. Only three countries will participate in the “mini” battle. More than 130 applications were reviewed, and 32 Russian teams were selected.
