Young parliamentarians of the Chelyabinsk region were honored in the Legislative Assembly

On the eve of the Day of Russian Parliamentarism, which is celebrated on April 27, the winners of the review competition of youth parliamentary formations and the “Parliamentary Debates” competition were invited to the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region to be awarded special diplomas and prizes. The awards were presented to the winners by the First Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Denis Moiseev.

This ceremony is special; it takes place in the year of the 30th anniversary of the Legislative Assembly of the region. And exactly half of them we hold a review competition of youth chambers of municipalities. Over the course of 15 years, the competition has attracted more than 250 participants, and its results are an example of effective interaction between authorities and youth, open dialogue“- noted the first vice-speaker Denis Moiseev.

Review competition has been held since 2009 and is aimed at developing the youth parliamentary movement, identifying and disseminating best practices in the work of municipal public youth chambers.

Competition “Parliamentary Debates” was established 10 years ago – in 2014 – and was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the regional parliament. It is held with the aim of developing legal culture and discussion skills among young people, and forming an active civic position.

Today, youth parliamentary structures have been created and operate in 43 municipalities of the region. “Talented, enterprising youth are the main driving force of our country, its main strategic resource., – emphasized the first vice-speaker and admonished the young people. – Let today’s award be a good incentive for creative search and new achievements. We sincerely wish you success, new discoveries, good health and prosperity!».

To encourage parliamentary formations and their leaders, the Legislative Assembly of the region established special diplomas and cash prizes.

In 2024, 18 youth parliamentary formations took part in the competition, including seven urban districts (Magnitogorsk, Miass, Ozersk, Snezhinsk, Trekhgorny, Ust-Katav, Yuzhnouralsk) and 11 municipal districts (Agapovsky, Argayashsky, Ashinsky, Bredinsky, Varna, Verkhneuralsky, Etkulsky, Kartalinsky, Kusinsky, Nagaibaksky and Uvelsky).

The results of the competition are summed up separately among the parliaments of urban districts and parliaments of municipal districts. In each group, three prizes and two incentive places are awarded.

In the first group of the competition, the top three winners and prize-winners included:

  1. Youth Chamber of the city of Ust-Katava (first place);

  2. Public Youth Chamber of Magnitogorsk (second place);

  3. Youth Chamber of the city of Snezhinsk (third place).

In the second group:

  1. Youth Chamber of the Kusinsky District (first place);

  2. Public Youth Chamber of the Ashinsky District (second place);

  3. Public Youth Chamber of the Uvelsky District (third place).

In the competition “Parliamentary Debate” Teams of universities and youth parliamentary formations of municipalities of the Chelyabinsk region, consisting of two people aged 16 to 35 years, took part. The competition was held in three stages. 20 teams took part in the semi-final stage. Eight teams reached the finals.

The top three winners and runners-up included:

  1. team South Ural State University (national research university)“;

  2. SUSU team (national research university)“;

  3. team of Snezhinsky Institute of Physics and Technology and team branch Federal State Treasury Military Educational Institution of Higher Education “Military Educational and Scientific Center of the Air Force” Air Force Academy named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky and Yu.A. Gagarin” (Voronezh) of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Chelyabinsk.

The winners were awarded in three categories:

  1. Recognized as “Best Speaker” member of the team of the public youth chamber of the Argayash municipal district at the Assembly of Deputies of the Argayash municipal district;

  2. The “Best Analyst” was the judge of the “Parliamentary Debates” competition, Chelyabinsk;

  3. “Best Judge” – judge of the “Parliamentary Debates” competition, Chelyabinsk.
