The final stage of the international Shoes-Style competition took place in Moscow

On April 26, the final stage of the international competition of shoe and accessories designers Shoes-Style took place at VDNH as part of the Russia exhibition. The event included a display of collections of shoes and accessories from the finalists of the competition and an award ceremony for the participants.

The finals of the competition included 17 collections, in four categories – “Bright Start”; “Shoes”; “Footwear and accessories”, “Accessories”.

It was a real design feast. The students participating in the competition prepared strong, interesting collections both in terms of creativity, execution, and the quality of the final product. Fresh ideas were presented in collections of shoes and accessories of classic, sports, urban, and avant-garde styles.

The winners of the competition were Valeria Egorova with the REVIVAL collection, Polina Shevkova with the “At the Dawn of a New World” collection, Juliet Harutyunyan with the “Peony Harmony” collection, Elizaveta Sharymina with the “Apotheosis of War” collection, Alexander Grigoriev with the “RUST” collection, Dariya Eliseikina with the collection “Cyber”, Anastasia Kandrashkina with the “Cybernetic Ether” collection, Elizaveta Belyaeva and Adela Yarullina with the “Expiration Date” collection.

Shoes Report especially noted the RUST shoe collection of a student at the Russian State University. Kosygina Alexandra Grigorieva – high and low men’s boots made of genuine leather in an avant-garde style. The designer was awarded a special prize from Shoes Report – an interview and story about his collection will soon appear on our portal.

Shoes-Style finalists were also awarded special prizes from the sponsors and partners of the event, including Russian shoe manufacturers Ralf Ringer, Munz Group, Kotofey, Ortomoda, Vostok Service, bags – Igor York, leather – “Russkaya” leather”, “Verkhnevolzhsky tannery” and other enterprises. The winners of the competition were offered internships in design bureaus of shoe companies and were given certificates for the purchase of sewing equipment and materials for the production of new models of shoes and accessories.

Shoes-Style was attended by students from universities and colleges, technical schools providing training in the field of design, construction and manufacturing technology of shoes and accessories from three countries – Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan. This year, about 70 collections were submitted to the competition.

Shoes Style has been held in Moscow since 1998. The competition is organized by the Russian State University named after. A.N. Kosygina (Technology. Design. Art) with the support of the Russian Union of Leatherworkers and Shoemakers.
